Geiger Achieves Its First Global EcoVadis Platinum Rating

January 13, 2026 – Lewiston, ME, USA – Geiger, the world’s largest privately held and family-owned promotional products distributor, announced today that it has achieved a global Platinum rating from EcoVadis, placing the company among the top 1% of organizations assessed worldwide for sustainability performance.
EcoVadis, the world’s leading provider of business sustainability ratings, evaluates companies across four pillars: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. To earn a Platinum rating, organizations must achieve a score within the top 1% of all companies rated, demonstrating advanced and measurable sustainability practices.
“This achievement reflects the progress we’ve made by looking at our business through a truly global lens,” said David Geiger, President of Geiger and fifth-generation family member. “Operating under one rating allows us to assess our practices consistently across the world, while continuing to improve locally. Sustainability is not a one-time goal for us—it’s a multi-generational commitment.”
This marks the first time Geiger has earned a single, consolidated Platinum rating across its expanding global operations. In 2025, Geiger’s U.S. and U.K. businesses achieved Platinum ratings individually, while its German operations earned Silver With the recent growth announced in Germany (Geiger's acquisition of S&P Werbeartikel and UP Werbemittel) the milestone underscores progress in aligning sustainability practices across regions.
Geiger’s global business achieved a 99th-percentile ranking, with particularly strong performance in environmental management, reflecting ongoing efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, optimize energy use, and minimize waste across its global operations.
This achievement reflects the standard Geiger holds itself to as it supports customers with responsible branded merchandise programs worldwide.
